@gamelee Thank you Lee. It is rather odd. This is part of a little, out-of-the-way door in a cathedral. It looks to me very much like the sort of scratchings you get on the hymn book rests in old choir stalls - where the choirboys would doodle whilst the vicar gave the sermon. Given the odd, patchy arrangement of the pieces that made up the door, I wondered if some of the timber had been repurposed from an old choir stall.
