Ammonite fossils

The other thing I did today was spend a bit of time trying to get a good angle on this lovely fossil rock. It comes from Lyme Regis, Dorset - famous for its fossil beach and The Cobb, its harbour wall, which featured in The French Lieutenant's Woman.
You found your good angle. I like the shadows behind as well. They bring the rock into relief well.

A pretty good specimen, and you've shown the detail well.

Fantastic shot. This has to be technically perfect.
The detail, focus, exposure, angle, and framing are all great. And an excellent background, I really like how it falls off into darkness.

Oh and I really like the fossils aswell ;-)

@natsnell Thanks, Nat! Think the camera did some of it, though. :-)
