There were all sorts of interesting things tucked away a little off the main pathways at Westonbirt: sculptures, log stepping stones, little play houses that children could slot together for themselves, to name but a few. I noticed this sculpture, took a shot of it, and went to investigate the ankle ornament more closely. I was surprised to find a piece of Labradorite embedded in the middle. It's a very pretty stone. I took a close up of it - http://365project.org/dulciknit/other-photos/2011-10-14

Wow this looks like a great place to go. Must look it up. You have some lovely days out Alison. Have you been to the Enchanted Forest, Groombridge? It looks similar to this place. Great photo :)
Thank you :-) @clairefisher I think Westonbirt's more just trees than Groombridge - I Googled it. Groombridge sounds like a great place for a day out, and I've put the website in my Places to Visit Favourites folder. Thank you very much for the tip, Claire.
We certainly do gad about since Lester retired. Winter's not far away now and the weather will put a stop to a lot of it for a while, so we're making the most of it while we can.
