knitting....

i taught my client how to knit today at his request.

he is a retired 72 yr. old master organist with parkinsons disease.

his reasoning...to keep his fingers & hands moving as his ability to play piano/organ has been limited.

after more than 3 hours of instruction...he is able to do it on his own.

inspired by his perserverence...

from the book of the beautiful human spirit...
What a great skill you've taught a lovely old man.

My now late-Grandma taught me to knit when I was 12 years old; and now, it's something I do every day in the afternoon to pass the time while watching old sitcoms for about an hour or so. Right now, I'm knitting what I call a scrap-scarf. It's the scraps of all the left over wool I have laying around the house from other scarves... it ought to be good when it's finished. Right now, it's almost 2metres long! :D

Beautiful shot, Pamela! Always wanted to learn to knit. Tried but can't handle the needles. I crochet pretty good though.

Pretty colours! That's a great story about your client, too.
