saving the turtle...

was a community effort.

the events...

** i spotted him on the lake road near my home. i pulled over to snap some photos & try and chase him to safety.

** man pulls over & asks if i am 'saving the turtle'...he gets out to help. we discuss options.

** woman walking dog arrives and asks if we need help 'saving the turtle'.

** community service officer arrives with lights on to help us 'save the turtle'.

** lady with car arrives to block traffic & take over 'turtle saving' efforts from officer.

** biker arrives to block traffic from other direction.

** traffic is now stopped & backed up in both directions while turtle is being scooped up & taken to safety.

note...all i wanted to do was photograph the turtle and chase it to safety :)
