petunias...

if i had a daughter...
i would teach her
everything i know
about flowers and gardening and nature.
{my sons are grown and love their own knowledge}

petunias smell lovely in the evening.
they need to be deadheaded regularly to promote blooming....but really...they do smell lovely in the evening.

i wait for the sun to hang low before sitting on my front stoop to breathe it in.
