white clover...with purple flowers of creeping charlie...but mostly the clover is in bloom right now.
we are choosing to let the backyard be natural these days....a perceived considerable nightmare to our golf course lawn neighbor.
she shouldn't complain....we offer a fine dining experience for the many bunnies living under our garden shed...instead of crossing the fence and munching on her lilies and such.
we are also hosts to many unprecedentedly LARGE ant communities in which I can't bring myself to destroy. i pretty much think about it every time i walk thru....but i just can't do it.
might i add we have a rather impressive buckthorn grove. being the responsible naturalist i am...this i will have to downsize and contain this fall...as it is becoming VERY invasive. considering the city of plymouth is doing zero to nothing to irradicate it in it's park...i feel like i am doing them a favor by taming it in my yard. { some day i will take on the park issue }
gone gone gone...are my perfect manicured yard days. i don't have time for it...or would rather be smiling at my own change in perception of what is perfect.
