jewelweed can provide immediate relief to poison ivy or stinging nettle. just rub a leaf on the area or cut the stem and rub it's juicy inside on the rash or sting.
also...the plant can be harvested for future use. simmer down the leaves to soften, then pour the mash/juices into an ice cube tray & freeze. when rashes or itches appear...rub the jewelweed infused ice on the affected area.
