back...

into the woods
this morning.

it was the 1st day of my "big woods big rivers" ecology naturalist class. it is being held at the kroening nature center part of the north mississippi regional park... a good portion of it's border is along the mississippi river.

after all the introductions (LOVE my fellow students) and pomp & circumstance we took a wander into the woods. our assignment...to take a look around.

i found him/her while admiring the vine curly q's on a tree branch.

it's going to be a FUN and interesting class. my curiosity is endless. i can't wait to return next week!
