The Jenna Katherine Morrison memorial reflexology footpath by edie

The Jenna Katherine Morrison memorial reflexology footpath

On November 7 2011 my friend Jenna was killed by a truck while riding her bike to pick up her five year old son Lucas from school. She was several months pregnant at the time. The sadness slowly lifts but will never go away. Tomorrow they are unveiling a memorial reflexology footpath in her name. I will not be able to be there so I went today and took some photos over the fence. A few hours later I looked over to see her mother and husband standing in front of it and I ran to be with them. They let me in the fence but I had left my camera behind. It was a magical and beautiful experience to be there with them and feel Jenna's energy again. If you are in Toronto it is at Dufferin Grove Park and worth a visit.
A lovely tribute to your friend, So very sad

@northy Hey lady. Thank you for that. Once I've settled we should hook up some time.
@bigugly @wannabe @snowy Thank you all. What a devastating time it was...and continues to be, but so much beauty has grown out of it as well. We all have come together for her family and it really does feel like her boundless love surrounds us.

Such a tragic story- but what a beautiful tribute to remember her by. I think it was more important for you to be with her mom and husband than to have a camera there.

@olivetreeann @debihas27 Thank you ladies. Time has, of course, made it easier. I'm sorry to post something so sad, but that was the day. And yes Ann, I agree, but I laughed when they asked me to snap a few shots of them and I had to use his cell phone.

@edie That made me smile. I was speaking at church this past Sunday and had some children come forward to start my message off. At one point they were all leaning in to look at a book I was holding. My husband said, "I wish I could have taken a picture of that!" To which I replied "You know I always have my camera in my purse and it was right next to you!" LOL missed opportunities!
