Isn't she fascinating to see up close?! Did you get to see her laying the eggs? I had a desert tortoise that laid them every year in the yard! Because she was a pet, I removed them (carefully) when she'd left and incubated them. I'm quite sure I've got photos of them from those early years! I recently posted one of our daughter (as a child) with the tortoises in our yard.
