Erected by Trinity House in 1863 (Though it says 1862 on the very top of it), it was used until 1917, guiding ships around Landguard Point with its gas lamps.
Pouring with rain when we got there this morning but soon become blazing sunshine - warm enough for my Mother-in-law to go for a paddle.
