Heard today about the passing of Ray, an old family friend. I have to admit that I've not seen or really thought of him for years, but was saddened by the news - he and his family were a big part of my childhood and he was a lovely feller.
I grew up in the Salvation Army and they have an expression for when someone dies - "Promoted To Glory". Job well done Ray, promotion earnt.
whenever I think of Ray I think of Philip - infact the last time I saw Ray, probably about 3 years ago, we chatted about Philip. Ray was my YPSM and played the organ at our wedding...I agree with your sentiments 'a lovey fella'.
