Went to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone today.
Up at 4:15am to go and catch the bus ... home at 8pm very sunburnt and very tired.
Very loud, very smelly, and if I'm honest not something I'd rush to do again ... Struggled to take photos and got to the point where I lost interest and went in search of ice cream.
The amount of helicopters coming in and out was astounding and reminded me of a scene from 'Apocalypse Now' - just needed 'Ride of the Valkyries' to complete the scene.
And there was a display by the Red Arrows who quite frankly bore me ... Especially when they're replicating wings of aircraft in formation pattern.
Anyway. This apparently is Daniel Ricciardo. He came 8th. I didn't actually realise the race had finished (Or indeed who had won) until Wife text and told me.
I think tiredness has written this description ... but on a positive note, no work tomorrow 'cos Wife and I are off for the 20 week scan and get to see #3 again.
