Stories in the Big Bed

Our older son has been having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to the new baby. He has been somewhat whiny and contradictory and cries for ‘Momm-eee…Momm-eee’ more than normal. Not today though. He was fantastic today. He would run up to me and my husband and just give us kisses. Then, while we were driving to the store today, I told him that when the baby grows up, they would be friends and play together. He got the cutest smile on his face and said ‘Thomas’ indicating that he wanted to play Thomas the Tank Engine with him. Um, tear…

One thing that I have been doing every night to make him feel special and spend some quality time with him is to read his bedtime stories in our room in the big bed rather than in his room. He loves climbing into bed every night with me and cuddling while I read to him.
Great black and white

LOVE! Love how you two are so close. Love how it looks like we're peering in through a door. Did you use a self-timer?

beautiful capture of a lovely moment - great b&w and composition - and he's so used to being the only one, he's going to find it hard, and the baby is going to be no fun for him to play with for what will feel like for ever.

Gorgeous shot. Hope he adjusts quickly. It must be such a shock when they're used to having mum and dad to themselves. But he'll have a friend for life!

@kimgrowsup I used a tripod and I have a remote shutter release which I find easier than the timer. Oh and you kind of are peering through a door as I set everything up in my closet. I was trying to hide it so that my son would be more natural.
