Rowing is interesting; probably the ultimate team sport, because each person in the boat has to work in perfect unison with the person in front. It's also hard work. At camp the boys have two water sessions a day - the first starting half an hour before sunrise until the wind makes the water too choppy; and the second session starts as the wind drops in the evening, and goes on till the last drop of light is squeezed from the sky. The middle of the day includes a major run or physical workout, with an ergo session included. And why do I care? Well, I had to feed these bodies. They eat well, frequently and with total enthusiasm.
