The cottages at the Eikenhof Dam are at the edge of MTO's commercial pine plantations. Around the cottages are a few other trees, mostly oak. I'd never noticed the apple tree until I saw the fruit this morning. There isn't going to be much of a crop - the tree is not pruned and there is too much dead wood, but it's beautiful, seeing the fruit struggling forth. I wonder how long it will be before a camper has a crunchy bite?
