Scout's honour by eleanor

Scout's honour

All Cubs and Scouts were invited to come to school in their uniform today, in honour of Lord Baden-Powell's birthday on 22 February.

In my view, that the term "Scout's Honour" is part of the English language, is the greatest tribute to his achievements.
That's a lovely shot ... agree with you about the shirt!! Is this what we called "Thinking Day"?

@elizabeth I have never been involved in the Scout movement, so I'm not certain, but from what I see online I'd guess that this is the school's nod to 'Thinking Day" which was on Tuesday.

@eleanor Yes, just Googled it and I'm guessing that in a school Friday is a better "non school uniform day" .... We used to love being "different" and wearing Brownie Guide uniforms.

I never joined the scouts, but I was a sixer in the cubs. I like the communal happiness that shines from within the pic. Very nice.

So true about 'scouts honour' its a real tribute that it has become such a common phrase. Nice capture of his happy face.

Its great that you still follow this tradition - and celebrate it with the photograph as well.
