Greg's rugby team played against Brackenfell this morning. Having a son who plays in the front row makes for more than the odd nervous moment - but it's scenes like these that are the heart-stopping ones. Greg should not be popped up like this during the scrum - it's the result of illegal play by the opposition.

It's scenes like this that make me want to grab my boy and never let him on a rugby pitch again!!! Great capture of expression but rather worrying from a mom's point of view, of course!!! Hope they got a penalty.
Oh the things we mothers go through. Both my sons played ice hockey (until one of them was assaulted... by his coach!!!) and rugby. The elder one also played cricket and the younger one did WWE style wrestling (not sure what sort @hwy61 son/s do/es). Oddly enough, the worst injury thus far was a cricket ball in the eye. My elder son was playing for the village men's team aged 14, fluffed a really fast catch and took the ball in the face. He was later fined for foul language. Oops!
