I was fascinated watching Simfonita painting this Bambanani bowl. She works at Zizamele Ceramics, an interesting studio in Kommetjie. She made the bowl (traditional pottery wheel) as well as the attached figures. While the colour themes are decided by the studio, each bowl will be unique because the crafter may adapt the designs to fit her own style.
