Gemsbok (or Oryx) are usually seen as lone animals, and breeding herds keep shyly hidden. I was thrilled to see this family group while driving over the dune road to !Xaus Lodge in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. And extra delighted when I checked the image carefully - love the way the baby is carefully framed by a larger animal's horns.
