Taken yesterday during our short walk around the Ta' Pinu Sanctuary. I added a soft light just behind the house. I wish I could have captured a sharper image. Still working on that (i.e. focusing from a distance and camera shake). I used a small tripod and a 2 second delay for the shutter but I guess that was not enough.
The Ta' Ġordan Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located on a hill above the village of Għasri in Gozo. An earlier lighthouse was known to exist at the site in 1667, which was financed by the Knight Fra Henry de Gourdan. The current light began operation on 15 March 1853, and was built during the the British rule. During World War II, the lighthouse was used as the location for an early warning radar station providing information about bombers coming from Italy.
Beautiful capture and I like the blue hour when it is not completely dark. Have visited several times and hiked up to the Ta" Giordan Lighthouse. There is some marvellous views from up there.
@theredcamera@wakelys@onewing@yaorenliu@sangwann Thank you for your comments and favs. Loved the tiny windows in this photo.
When I took this photo I remembered the hot summer night, many, many years ago, no ac at the time when I was with a group of youngsters on a retreat weekend (used to hold these annually) and the light shone straight into my bed room every few seconds.
