It's a simple shot and one of a couple I took. I liked how the lines form verticals with slightly thinner lines curve and intertwine in the breeze.
The first welcome showers that we have been waiting for after a scorching summer. The shot reminded me of the war time song "Underneath the lantern" although there is no rain mentioned there.
Although rain is usually always a blessing, there were a couple of nasty surprises for some on this day. The run off water from the valley at Xlendi made news the following morning as it damaged a restaurant close to the beach and a car was washed out to sea.
If only so much precious rain water was saved and collected instead of letting it run off into the sea.
"I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing." (Ezekiel 24:36b)
