Snapper by elza

Snapper

I thought it was going to be a quiet and peaceful stroll. I wanted to find a cave in this area called Għar Tuta (Lit blackberry cave). I found the cave but the shots that made it for the day were of the setting sun. I like this picture for its slanting land in silhouette with its counter slant of the clouds hiding the sun, and of course the tiny figure who is taking a snap shot of the scene. Unfortunately the peace was shattered every few minutes by shots from hunters scattered all over the area. It's the hunting season here. I was glad to see police patrols in the area who were checking for illegal hunting and the "occasional" hunter who mistakes a flamingo for a duck! I met one of the officers on my way down to the cave and congratulated him for their work. I strongly believe that birds should only be shot by a camera.
Great silhouette of the snapper.
