It was a glorious, much needed, rainy day. It drizzled for most of the morning and afternoon except for small pockets which let you go out for Mass or shopping or a quick photo in the garden. I was prepared to help out with the cooking today, basically chopping veg for a hearty vegetable soup. I told my wife that I wanted to take a still life photo with the vegetables that we were going to use. She put the ingredients on the table and I set some of them on the chopping block, I mean board;) After a while I heard my wife calling, "... and when are you going to start cooking?" I love her for her patience!
I completed the shot with some post editing, mainly giving the picture a rustic look with an overlay in Gimp.
Great picture! The processing is amazing. My husband gets the same way when I'm texting photos of our dinner to my mom. I tell him he can go ahead and eat, but he's always kind enough to wait on me.
