Side by side (4th January word)

A tribute to Maltese architecture. I couldn't find any information about these two heads resting on drapes coming out of an "Ionic order column". I found these on the facade of what, from the outside, looks like a plain house in Zejtun. They are intriguing. They are the only two heads; there is nothing on the other side of the facade. What was in the mind of the master builder / owner? Do they represent something? What style is it?
Fun to see those totally different faces!

They both have very different faces - so that must mean something!

I like it! The sculptor displays the emotions on the faces well! Great shot!
