23rd April 2015

Today I was on my own with the car in the morning whilst Colin and our friends played golf. It was a rapid learning curve getting used to a manual gearbox again after 13 years using an automatic, familiarising with a different car, getting used to driving on the other side of the road and also getting used to Italian drivers! However, it was actually very fun and our little Nissan Micra was soon whizzing around the country lanes (and came back in one piece).

After a morning of excitement coming across the filming of the Italian detective series - Moltalbano - my mum's favourite, I headed back to the hotel (on a track full of potholes - thank you SatNav). I came across a large herd of goats with two farmers chasing them around as they had broken into a field. I decided to help round them up and jumped out of the car to assist. I'm not sure how much I actually helped but the guys thought it was very funny, the goats seemed to do what they wanted and everyone wanted to be in the photo!
Goats, light and shadow are beautiful.
