Good news, my hand-turned lapis lazuli pen that Mum’s friend Ian created for me has arrived back in the post. Unfortunately I accidentally broke the pen clicker when I dropped it and then made the situation even worse trying to fix it! Luckily Ian had spare parts with him and did a rapid repair and he returned in less than a week to me. A box of ‘thank you’ fudge will be despatched soon!
@padlock South America - depends on what Colin's back consultant says this afternoon (but everything is crossed!). We need to catch up about your DO lens (that'll be the slow one!) sometime as well -maybe not today with all's that's going on.
Such a beautiful pen--glad it's now in working order again. The lapis part reminds me of the colour of the cornflowers you love and had in your wedding bouquet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all will be well with Colin's back and that you will both get off to South America as planned.
