3rd January 2016

Today for the first time in a while the wind dropped and after a night of heavy rain the sun came out. It is so nice to be down by the sea and to smell the ozone.

We walked along the prom into Newlyn and despite the recent storms and the fact it is Sunday, the 'St George's' trawler was heading out to sea from the harbour. The fish must be very close to shore as the outriggers or 'booms' of the trawler lowered almost immediately the moment it had passed out of the harbour.
Nice to see the blue sky and sunshine.

@tristansmum It was amazing. Unfortunately this was it for the sun or at last for any period of time. The sun came out on occasions and then literally 5 minutes later it would be pouring down. We travelled back to Teddington yesterday (Wednesday) and it rained all night and has just rained again this morning. However, we are promised a cold snap next week so I am now hoping for the possibility of snow… watch this space!
