22nd January 2016

Today I was on another shoot for London Stone, this time at a laboratory in my old stomping ground of Clapham Common. It was a bit daunting as I knew I would need to use the flash a lot and as I do not use it much day to day, it’s always a bit of a learning curve.

The laboratory was fascinating and stone is tested here for quality and strength. This is Panos, a petro-chemist who was checking slides of slices of stone shaved into 30 micron slices in a microscope which then relayed the image on to a computer monitor. Quite fascinating actually.
Good pov and comp, and very interesting to read about what he's doing.
