12th June 2016

After the excitement of the flypast yesterday, it was a day of street parties for the Queen with a massive one in the Mall. On our journey up to Euston we chatted with a number of people carrying the special ‘Mall hampers’ who all had had a great time despite the rain.

We were headed to Euston to go on one of the “Hidden London’ trips down closed tunnels below the station. Tickets were like gold dust and I had to spend literally 3 hours in a queue on the website attempting to buy tickets. The tour was brilliant with the original posters from the 1950-1960’s still on the walls. This shot was taken using ISO 25,600 and is a view up one of the ventilation tunnels for the Victoria line. I call it 'Ghosts in the Machine'.

I have two albums of images on Facebook one of the posters and the others of the closed tunnels -
