After a brilliant weekend we all headed over to Hester and Brian's House in Horton in Ribblesdale in the afternoon, a tiny village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We had not been there before and it was great to see their house which is so tasteful and cosy.
I had the bright idea of trying to get another family photo using my remote control which Colin fixed by changing the batteries! The idea was good but unfortunately Brian's suggestion of a walk to the beck across a meadow of long grass was not the best of locations. We just got the the field just as the rain started coming down… very heavily!
We gathered under an Oak tree and I managed to grab a few shots of us all before we all dashed back. Despite the rain I love this shot, just a shame we could not persuade Harry the Border Collie into shot as well.
