We finally headed home down south today and it was a much longer journey as we were traveling from only three miles from the Scottish border 360 miles home. We decided to break our journey at Harrogate which also gave Colin an opportunity to use his birthday present from my sister of afternoon tea at Betty’s. It was a very nice stop with sandwiches, scones and petit cakes and macaroons.

We continued driving and including our tea stop and a few fuel stops it took nearly 11 hours to get back. We were quite tired.
