7th September 2016

After our epic walk yesterday, we decided to drive to the other side of the island to Ciudadela? My turn to drive our hire car! It is quite a powerful vehicle but it always takes time to get used to a new car, being on the ‘wrong’ side of the road and to drive a manual rather than our usual automatic - apart from that it was very straight forward.

It took less than an hour to cross the island although finding parking was more of a challenge. Local drivers don’t take hostages when driving... they like to keep about 6 feet off the tail of the car in front, especially when driving slowly. However despite enduring this the town was lovely and the clear blue skies really set off the ochre and coloured buildings. A lot of the shops close for siesta time so I didn’t have quite such a wait to get shots clear of people.

I am increasing the photo count so here are a few from yesterday and today - https://www.facebook.com/Emma-Durnford-LRPS-Photographer-186301661422523/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1217283691657643
