1st August 2018

Today my birthday continued. This was my main present from Mum and Ian - a helicopter trip over Lands End and surrounds. I was really excited although a bit worried in case I felt queasy and thenI forgot to take the travel sickness tablets! No worries as I was fine. We got there early as I had heard that there was a possibly of booking the front co-pilots seat for the best views and luckily I was able to do that. The small additional fee all goes to support the Cornwall Air Ambulance so well worth the money for a good cause.

There were three other passengers sat behind and we departed on the dot of 10.30. The weather was perfect, clear, a little cloud but not too hot and not windy. The views were stunning as we passed over Lands Ends, The Minack theatre, Mousehole, St Michael’s Mount and St Ives. This is a view of the two beaches of St Ives and the blue sea that looks more like the Mediterranean.

The half an hour was over so quickly but Mum bought me a great photo that the ground crew had taken of me in the co-pilots seat complete with headset as a reminder. A brilliant day. In the afternoon we went to the National Dahlia centre which was also very interesting.

Here are some more images from the helicopter flight and of the dahlias.
