2nd January 2023

The second day of January and my second batch of fudge made to take down Cornwall in a couple of days. It was a sunny but chilly day so we took a stroll through Bushy Park and I also got a chance to play with my new phone a bit - here’s an alternative take on a selfie!

In the evening our friends Ann and Richard had asked us over to their house for dinner (or supper) as we have not seen them for a long time. They moved a couple years ago and have had there entire house remodelled and it was the first time we had seen the house. It really was lovely, beautifully and tastefully designed and decorated and so cosy but modern. It was lovely to catch up on news and just as well as they are off to Australia and New Zealand for about seven weeks from next week. Anne is a great cook, she knocked up home made hummus with pomegranate seeds and a pheasant crumble with roasties.

The finale was an amazing home made sherry soaked fig and chocolate ice cream with raisins soaked in sherry along with a glass as well - yum!
