I decided to call British Airways this morning and find out if they will and hotel rooms for the extra night that their cancellation our flights back from Florence has caused! Eventually after being on hold for a long time, I spoke to a woman who sounded hopeful and referred me to their website. I checked this and apparently if the cancellation is more than 14 days before travel there is no help! I am really annoyed but have decided the only thing to do is to book the accommodation I ahem found and then attempt to claim back on our return as not much I can do before then.
I then spend a few hours putting together details of my Christmas cards into spreadsheets and emailing all the outlets that I normally supply in the hope I get some orders. Might as well be proactive.
