I was up in good time this morning, partly because I could not get back to sleep and partly because I was a bit nervous about todays photo shoot at the RNLI. I promised one of the crew all the way back in April that I would photograph the naming ceremony of the new boat to join the station. I got there well before ten although the ceremony so I could take the set up shots.
It was a big function with over 175 people and all the emergency services. It was hard work but enjoyable and by the end of the ceremony I had taken over 317 photos. The donor - Hilary Saw - has now donated three lifeboats for the station and this most recent one is in memory of her sister Alderman Penny Shelton. There was a good spread of cakes and sausage rolls afterwards as well!
I managed to edit and prep the photos down from 317 to just 75 and even send them to all the interested parties which is probably the fastest I have ever completed a job.
Last job of the day - cleaning our Mr Huffkins before he goes on holiday tomorrow.
