8th January 2013

My first time 'up town' after Christmas. We were travelling back after visiting the Burmese embassy in Mayfair to submit our visa applications for next month. This is Green Park on the Victoria line and I've always wanted to try a slow exposure of an approaching tube train but quite often only think of it when my camera is at home! I managed to hand-hold while leaning against the wall but had to rack up the ISO to 400 so it is a bit grainy.

I also stopped off to get a sensor clean only to be told my favourite 24-70mm f2.8 lens needs a service and new 'collars' all at a price (must google exactly what collars are)!!
I love this, am going to have a go at changing settings and capturing a moving train. The victoria line looks nice a quiet at lunchtime, it was armpit-ville this morning.

I was really surprised it was so quiet although I deliberately let one train go before catching this one so the platform had cleared. I tend to always use the Manual function nowadays as I can set what I think will work and over-ride the cameras 'suggested' settings!

I love the movement of the train against the static people.
