25th January 2013

Shopping in Kingston today - The Bentalls Centre is an impressive building architecturally. However, one of my favourite angles in shopping centres is looking down and I noticed this view below with symmetrical escalators (I’m not deliberately advertising Costa coffee!).
Love all the geometry here.

@danette Thank you, its a great shopping centre (not as big as your malls though!). I hope your foot is getting better :-)

@nicolaeastwood - I was visiting the Apple shop getting the track-pad replaced on my Macbook Air - who says Macs never go wrong (lucky I had Applecare)!

@emmadurnford oh no, saved by Applecare (yes - I have too!!) :0)

I love the clarity of your urban photos. I am inspired by your relentless looking for photo opportunities. Such a variety. Shows that you are certainly getting out in the world and your eyes are looking everywhere. It also shows that photography is planning and work. Your deer sticks out in my mind. I love it. I love the monotone of the white in this photo with the dark accents - the people ( and not too many of them) just enough to make it interesting and the black lines of the escalator.

I'm a very symmetrical minded person so this photo appeals to me I like it a lot.

@cbawernsen @barrowlane @pam1 - Thank you Pam, Corine and Rob - this project is actually making me concentrate a lot more on photography and making me carry my camera most of the time (more visits to the osteopath now I expect!). I normally shoot editorial travel photography but I am looking at my own environment more closely.

This is such a great photo! You've made the Bentalls Centre appealing, I am always trying to escape the hoards (what did you do with all the people??). I love the symmetry of the escalators.

@oconnor71 it was surprisingly quiet although it was about 11.30 in the morning!
