29th of January 2013

After the drabness of yesterday and in contrast to the weather outside, here are some daffodils that my husband bought me and which have in the space of only three days have gone from tight buds to glorious yellow trumpets. I was a bit pressed for time but wanted to try a narrow depth of field in natural light (rapidly going). As my macro lens is out of action I hand-held my 24-70mm. Even though the weather is grey, seeing these make me feel like spring could be around the corner!
Lovely pic. I love daffs - they always make me think that spring is just around the corner. Unfortunately our local farm shop has been selling them since before Christmas!

@steampowered I agree but I pretended not to notice them at our local florist! @whdphotog @barrowlane Thank you Bill and Rob - with the howling gales and rain outside at the moment it doesn't feel very Springlike!
