2nd February 2013

After the colour of yesterday, I’ve reverted to monotone! I have had this shot in mind for some time but it is only possible during a half an hour time-slot in the morning when the sun is in the right position and therefore obviously on a sunny day. It is not clever but simply the shadow cast by one of my olive trees on the muslin drapes in the dining room. I converted to black and white and then really pushed the contrast, highlights and black point and added a bit of vignetting. All being well (and having time), I’m aiming to try something a bit different tomorrow (think montage!).
Lovely misty look with light shadows!

YOur photographer mind, always on the lookout and planning. So beautiful - all the tones of grey - yes etherial is the word to describe it.
