5th February 2013

Vauxhall again! For the sixth time now but good news... I have my 70-200mm back. On the advice of the company I walked over a windy and very cold Vauxhall bridge and randomly photographed cranes and buildings on either side of the river to test out the autofocus. It seems to be focussing well now - touch wood - so here are two cranes out of many which I think are pretty sharp even after cropping.
I'll bet you are a happy bunny now! The cranes look good.

Hurrah, and not a moment too soon. Looking forward to some special shots, now, Emma. x

They are sharp. Good black and white study. Nicely framed. YOu are going to have a nice collection of industrial type sites.

A crane is definitely a good object to test the focus - thin lines!

@steampowered Oh yes, very relieved as it went to the wire as to whether it would be done in time (electronics, re-calibration etc.)

@pam1 @maggiemae @brav Thank you, I actually like cranes and their silhouettes - it could have worked in B&W I think as well

@nicolaeastwood Oh yes, I have a feeling I will not be worrying about getting a shot each day for the next 5-weeks. We are flying tonight and it's my birthday tomorrow (7th) I have already planned a photo out of the plane window if possible. My only worry is how often I will be able to upload but as long as I take a photo each day that is the main thing. Loving your B&W month, you are getting come fantastic images.

Well... I'm a trapeze artist living in New York. All those things came down after Sandy, yet they came back. Love it!
