Don't worry, this isn't one of those false widow spiders that have been appearing in this area. This is a garden spider or 'Orb Weaver'. There was a bit of breeze so it was a challenge to get it in focus!
@tristansmum@steampowered I know what you mean. I was just pleased it wasn't one of the false widow spiders that have been in the news recently. I had never heard of them here before but apparently they've been in Cornwall for years - never seen them when I've been down visiting Mum thank goodness!
