Apparently a massive storm is heading in our direction. Trains are being cancelled, flights from Heathrow are being reduced and people are being warned not to go on unnecessary journeys. The only sign before the light went (an hour earlier today as the clocks went back!) was the wind whipping the fallen leaves into shapes on the pavement.
@tristansmum We were lucky and only had some twigs and leaves down in the garden and a brief power cut. But other areas in the country and even just a few miles away were badly hit.
@emmadurnford Emma, I'm so glad you and Colin are all right and that your property was not too much affected, and that your power cut was brief. I'm so sorry for those who were not so lucky.
