29th October 2013

The nights are drawing in now that the clocks have gone back.

I was going to try and photograph another stag but as the light was going quickly I settled for the Diana Fountain in Bushy Park again... with two swans to fulfil todays word of 'wildlife'!
I can just see the wildlife! Lovely light on the water. Who is on the Diana fountain?

@maggiemae It is 'Diana' the Goddess of hunting and was originally created for Somerset House in 1630 but moved to Bushy Park in 1713. The statue on the top (Diana) has been recently re-gilded and is now an amazing gold colour in the sun. The pond is full of large carp which fishermen spend hours trying to catch and then put back after weighing and photographing them (a bit pointless!)!!

A lovely tranquil picture Emma, with the gorgeous silhouettes in the background, the graceful swans in front, and the gentle light.
