I did have a photograph of the Star and Garter veterans home in Richmond lined up but Colin insisted he should feature as it is his birthday today!
So here he is at the start of our walk along the Thames into Richmond which was severely hampered by a number of fallen trees (mostly willows) that came down during the storm a week or so ago. We scrambled over and on our way but it was sad to see such big trees brought down. I think their roots have been weakened by the recent high tides so they did not have such a firm 'base' as usual.
@nicolaeastwood Thank you - passed on! @barrowlane OK I'll admit I had taken the tree on its own first - you've made me feel guilty now ha! ha!! I'll try to remedy the situation before the end of the year.
