So I went to Bug Day today at a local garden center.
They were going to release 20,000 ladybugs.
I pictured in my mind this great flight of ladybugs, soaring to the sky or the nearby flowers.
But in truth what happened was the ladybugs (which aren't huge on flying) were picked up from containers by kids.
Who quickly dropped them on the ground.
And then proceeded to step on them.
There were so many people.
And ladybugs.
You couldn't not step on them if you tried.
Survival of the fittest I guess.
