The best part of the rodeo (or at least my favorite part) is when they put a bunch on high schoolers in the arena and let a bunch of calves loose.
And then they have to try to catch them and drag them back to the middle.
I've seen people dragged by the calves as they held onto their tails, sat on by the calves, leap at the calves only to miss.
And if they get a calf then they win a prize.
It can actually be rather dramatic.
@susanwall44 They win a calf to raise and show at next year's rodeo. Some of them end up selling them for thousands and thousands of dollars. So it's pretty good prize.
