This beautiful carousel, built in 1890, is at the Technik Museum in Speyer, Germany. Watching it, I felt transported into The Nutcracker Suite. I played around with different shutter speeds etc, but it is so beautiful that I felt obliged to present it simply like this.
The museum is a fascinating place to visit - planes, trains and automobiles - including a 747 and an Antonov - and I must mention the submarines and the space shuttle. I've been in a space shuttle!!
Ladies, if you're like me (not that interested most of the time, but it is a truly awesome collection) a couple of hours is enough and then you can hit the shops; guys - allow at least a full day and maybe even two!
